I have an Iphone 3G through Verizon. They told me I had to download itunes as my basic store for purchasing or getting FREE Apps. I have done that on my home computer. The FREE app I wanted was called DRAGON GO, which is a dictation program so that you can speak your texts rather than having to type them on your phone.
When I go to itunes on my computer it shows that I have downloaded that program, but I free basic itunes downloadcan't seem to get any info about it, nor can I download it to my phone.
You need to download Itunes on your computer, but you can just download the app from the app store on your iphone. Just press "App store" on your phone, type DRAGON GO in the search bar and when it comes up touch on it and press the "free" button. After touching the button will change to say "install." Press instalfree basic itunes downloadl and it will ask you for your itunes password. Put that in and it will instantly download straight to your phone.
the iPhone 3g has never been available for Verizon. the 3g was exclusively a GSM phone, which won't work with Verizon's CDMA towers/networks This also means if somehow you got it to work, they wouldn't tell you anything about iTunes, due to the product being unsupported.
